Agreement Summary

  • This agreement with La Salle University is limited to graduates of Harcum College's Criminal Justice and Human Services programs who are enrolling in the following programs at La Salle University:

    • ​Criminal Justice graduates enrolling in the Criminal Justice program

    • Human Services graduates enrolling in the Social Work program

  • La Salle University will guarantee admission with Junior status and waive the application fee.  However, some majors may require more than 20 courses.

  • La Salle University will accept up to 70 transfer credits.

  • La Salle University will offer the following scholarships to students enrolled full-time and in day programs based on their cumulative GPA after graduating Harcum College:

    • $22,000 for ​3.3-4.0 GPA

    • $20,000 for 2.8-3.29 GPA

    • $15,000 for 2.5-2.79 GPA

  • Students who have pursued a Harcum associate's program other than those designated in this agreement may still be considered for transfer admissions on an individual basis and their credits will be evaluated on a course-by-course basis.

  • In order to receive these benefits, Harcum graduates must meet the following qualifications:

    • ​Must complete the application for Dual Admission form at any time prior to earning 45 credits from Harcum.  There is no obligation for students who complete this form to transfer to La Salle.

    • Graduate from Harcum with a 2.5 cumulative GPA.

    • Achieve a grade of "C" or better for each transfer credit accepted toward the La Salle major.

    • Achieve a passing grade lower than a "C" for each transfer credit applied towards the La Salle CORE requirements (not a major credit at La Salle) provided the student graduates with the required cumulative GPA.

    • Enroll within one year of Harcum graduation without attending any other institution.

    • Must complete one religion course, one philosophy course, and one computer science course on top of the core credits at Harcum.  Students may complete HUM 214, HUM 205, and CIS101 or CIS 102 at Harcum to fulfill this requirement or take any qualifying courses at La Salle.
